About Me

From one of our accredited psychotherapists:

I have over 10 years of experience working with vulnerable adults in the field of mental health both in clinical and forensic settings, 4 years’ experience working for an IAPT service within the NHS and I am an accredited facilitator with experience facilitating groups for stress management, mindfulness and for those with long term conditions.

I am a fully qualified and experienced BABCP registered psychotherapist with extensive knowledge and experience working with adults experiencing depression and anxiety disorders.  I obtained my BSc in Psychology in 2007. I completed my MSc in Forensic Psychology in 2012. In 2013, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence Based Psychological Therapies and most recently, in 2016 I obtained my Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I believe in using integrated approaches to adapt my way of working for each client I meet. I integrate practical coping skills together with addressing the root causes of the problem. This enables me to work short-term on a specific aspect of a person’s life or work longitudinally on a person’s early life experiences depending on what suits the client best. I work collaboratively with clients to see the world as they do and then offer an alternative perspective to their problems. I offer you an opportunity to explore new options and ways of managing your issues. The emphasis is on developing the skills to be self-reflective and be able to self-manage your difficulties in future in order to cope with the challenges of life more effectively.

I provide a comfortable, confidential and non-judgemental space, where you can discuss what it is that has brought you to therapy. I offer a friendly and down-to-earth approach to therapy working flexibly and collaboratively tailoring therapy to the specific needs of the client.
